Custom sticker File requirements
Check the format, preserve the detail, and review your saved project before approval.
Good print starts with a usable file. Bring the original artwork, choose your sticker specifications and review the project before you approve it.
Accepted artwork files
The upload control currently lists PNG, JPG, WEBP, PDF, SVG, AI and EPS, with a 25 MB maximum and one file per design. Follow the limit shown beside the upload control when placing your order.
An accepted file type and the editing tools available for it are different things. Check the preview and available controls for your file. If you cannot review the artwork as intended, get help before approving it.
Use the original artwork
Export from the original design file when you can. Avoid replacing it with a screenshot, a compressed social-media image or a file that has already been enlarged from a small original.
A file can be small enough to upload and still lack enough detail for the intended print size. Inspect lettering, edges and fine lines at the size you plan to order. Making a small image larger does not recreate missing detail.
Keep the background you actually want
If transparency is part of the design, export a file that preserves it, such as a PNG with a transparent background. A JPG does not preserve transparency. Renaming its extension does not remove a background.
The vinyl base also affects what you see. Compare clear and white vinyl before choosing a material, then review the uploaded artwork.
Check the selected artwork area
The configurator fits artwork proportionally within the selected dimensions. The final cut dimensions may be smaller than that maximum area, depending on the artwork shape. Check the size guidance and cut preview instead of assuming every design fills a square.
Review, save and approve
- Choose your product and supported shape, size, quantity, cut and finish.
- Select the file and review the artwork with the controls available in VyzStudio.
- Check spelling, orientation, placement, dimensions and the cut preview.
- Save and approve the project through the ordering workflow, then review the saved project in your project cart.
Selecting a file on your device is not the same as saving an approved project. Follow the status messages in the tool before moving on.
File not opening, or preview not right?
Return to the original design and export a supported format within the displayed upload limit. If the preview still does not match what you intend, contact Sticker Distortion for artwork help before approval.
